Should You Calibrate Your Device? (The Short Answer is a Resounding YES!!!)
What are calibrations? Well, for starters, it is a technical process which keeps your breathalyzer in tip top, and working condition. Think of it as a car servicing: even though your car is in working condition and everything seems and works fine, you're still required to send it in for servicing. There could be an unknown issue with your tyres, there could be alternator issues, or even worse- an engine issue. Similar to a car, a breathalyzer has many different working components within itself, and must be checked every 6 months (our recommendation), or at least once every year.
With all of that being said, calibrations are an important facet of increasing the effectiveness and longevity of a breathalyzer- although we at breathalyzer.com.au sell disposable breathalyzers, we also have units that are not, and require calibrations- namely the alkoSure F16 Optima, and the Wingmate Pro.
When the time comes for you to calibrate your device, you can always contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
